On Wednesday, July 24^th, The Gathering Place held a picnic on a salt water farm in West Bath to honor, celebrate and thank the many dedicated volunteers who welcome our guests each day with both kindness and coffee.

Many generous Brunswick businesses donated a wide variety of tasty picnic items from salads and sandwiches to hotdogs and chips and cookies and cakes. Volunteers enjoyed cooking hotdogs over a campfire and as well as gooey marshmallows for s’mores!

The Picnic gave volunteers a chance to relax and visit with one another with no meeting and no agenda! It was a successful, fun event for everyone who attended.

We even got to enjoy a sunny afternoon in the middle of a rainy day.

It just might become an annual event!
