Fortunately, Brunswick is blessed with a wealth of organizations which serve the poor. Among those with whom we cooperate are  Sweetser,  the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, Oasis Free Clinic,  and  the churches that reach out regularly to those in need. A number have expressed wholehearted support for our new facility, which we are using to become Brunswick’s first hub for services for the poor and homeless.

“The Gathering Place serves beyond the center itself in a number of community solutions committees and task groups. Your vision of enhancing the concept of  ‘gathering’  in the context of community need and your partnering neighbor agencies is the result of your strong commitment to collaboration and community engagement”

~ Craig A. Phillips, Tedford Housing/ Executive Director

No longer will our guests have to travel to some of their appointments. Space is available in our new building for agencies to meet with their clients where they already spend part of the day. By teaming up with our community partners, we are making it easier and more economical for those in need to receive the services they require.
